Education

Empowering students today, transforming futures tomorrow

Why Education Matters

In rural Uganda, education is often the difference between opportunity and hardship. Families in Kyanjiri dream of sending their children to school, but distance, cost, and limited infrastructure are major barriers. At Start the Ripple, we believe every child deserves the chance to learn in a safe, supportive environment. Education gives children confidence, skills, and the ability to shape their own futures, and that impact reaches every corner of the community.

Our Impact So Far

  • Providing education to more than 160 children each school term.

  • Constructed 8 permanent classrooms, creating a stable and safe learning environment.

  • Built staff housing, a kitchen, a playground, an administrative office, and 2 latrines.

  • Employing 12 local teachers and staff, supporting livelihoods and strengthening the local economy.

  • Supplying workbooks, teaching materials, meals, and basic sanitation support to help students stay in school.

Our Vision Moving Forward

Immediate Goals:

  • Complete the remaining primary school classrooms to meet growing enrollment.

Long-Term Goals:

  • Build a secondary school so students can continue their education without leaving the community.

  • Expand scholarship opportunities for students from vulnerable households.
